Welcome to IYNZ – the home of Iyengar yoga in New Zealand. Our members are Iyengar yoga teachers and practitioners based around the country. We are passionate about practising, protecting and promoting the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar and his family. Our yoga teachers and students are mentored by senior teachers here and Prashant and Abhijahta Iyengar, who continue to live out the Iyengar yoga legacy at the Ramamami Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India.
We are honoured to carry on one of the strongest yoga lineages in the world today. We practice and teach Iyengar yoga because, from our own experience, we know how powerful it is for transforming the body, mind and soul.
