Meet Clare Davenport

Attending my first Iyengar yoga class in 1989; I was immediately drawn to the practise and for the next 10 years; made sure that I found a class wherever I was living; including overseas.

10 years after that first class; I started my teacher training in Christchurch and have continued to teach since then.

I am drawn to the precision of Iyengar yoga; the attention to detail ( alignment ) in the physical body that leads us to experience ourselves from within; and from there to understand our connection to the wider universe.

I continue to attend classes; workshops and retreats knowing that the challenges and rewards of this practise are ongoing and will continue to be engrossing.
