Meet Inger-Lisa Hurst

I first started attending Iyengar yoga classes in 2008 at Herne Bay Yoga. Straight away I fell in love with the practice; but it wasn’t until I after the birth of my second child that I established a regular practice and in 2017 commenced my teacher training with Melodie Bachelor. After having my third child I achieved my Level 1 Iyengar Yoga certification in 2020. I have been teaching Iyengar yoga around Maraetai and Beachlands for the last four years and in 2022 opened my own small studio in Maraetai. I am currently working towards my Level 2 certification.
I love and live by Dr Geeta Iyengar’s quote “It is not a question of learning yoga; it is a question of experiencing because yoga has no end; it has only a beginning.”
### I hope that my teaching inspires my children and students to also develop a passion for yoga.
