Minna Pirot is a Certified Level 2 Teacher from Sweden. While she is visiting Aotearoa, she will take time out to teach a workshop with the theme ‘Yoga with a Chair’. Minna had a severe back injury when she was younger and has had to develop her practice to suit her damaged spine. She has developed a unique way of teaching Iyengar Yoga using a chair as support while keeping close to the Iyengar method and tradition. All General students as well as Teachers and Trainees are welcome to participate in this event. Places are limited so book your spot asap.

Jaki Nett will return to Aotearoa in November 2026 for two workshops – in the North and South Islands.

She will teach at Barnett Hall, North Piha over the weekend of 13-15 November.

We are excited to be hosting Abhijata Iyengar for the 2026 Convention to be held at the Te Mahurehure Marae in Point Chevalier, Auckland.

Tickets in the main hall for the General Convention (Friday – Sunday) are now SOLD OUT. Please email iyengaryoganz@gmail to join the waiting list.

You are still able to attend our convention by joining us in the Te Kupe Room at the marae. You will practice with a group via livestream to the main hall. Included in the ticket is the catered dinner, tea/coffees , a light lunch on Saturday, as well as attendance of the live Q&A session with Abhijata on Saturday afternoon.  Teachers/trainees attending the convention in the Te Kupe Room can join the Teacher Development day in the main hall, in person (please purchase this as an add on to your Te Kupe Room ticket).

Alternatively, you can purchase an online ticket and practice from home, or at a studio.

Senior Iyengar yoga teacher, Marla Apt, from the USA will teach a workshop exploring asana and pranayama as a means to experience the body’s vital energy.

Learn to identify, harness and direct energy throughout the body. Develop a physical understanding of the more subtle aspects of your yoga practice.
