Yoga Essence boutique yoga is a small and personal studio where people are engaged in finding the silence within themselves through the practice of Yoga and Mindfulness.

The studio provides a safe learning environment ensuring the students to get personal guidance. You will be seen and cared for as an individual rather than being just one more in class as happens in big yoga studios.

The studio is equipped with all the props you will need for the practice of yoga – mats, blankets, blocks, belts, bolsters – that may be used in a specific class.

In Iyengar Yoga the practice and teaching is built around the needs of the individual. Although guidance is given to explore the Asana to your capacity, your safety is paramount. Through regular attendance in class, knowledge and understanding is built , allowing the benefits of yoga to come through. A sense of calm, focus and self awareness grows for the student of Iyengar Yoga.

Yoga Moves have been teaching Iyengar yoga in Devonport since 2007.

At Yoga Moves the style of yoga we practice is inclusive and available to everyone – whatever your ability, condition or age, every body can practice yoga and feel great.

We have classes to suit all levels of student, from new beginner to experienced. Our boutique studio is a fully equipped Iyengar school, with small friendly classes where you’ll receive personal attention. We are located on the slopes of North Head in Devonport, on Auckland’s North Shore, and surrounded by a peaceful garden.
